Again shorn of their full compliment those Beaumontians present put up a good effort against a competitive Marlborough side. Fielding first Beaumont limited Marlborough's big hitter in the early overs and indeed dropped tow misplaced shots early in the innings. The bowling effort was punctuated with highs and lows through out from bowlers and fielders alike. To their credit however they never gave in kept working through out the 20 overs.
In bat the side got off to a slow start 8-2 in two overs but Lewis Glasscoe who lasted all 20 overs and George Mudd stuck in and took the score to 65 before Mudd was run out tryin to sneak a second run that was not quite there. While the rest of the middle order stayed in for short cameos along side their opeing batsman no one could hang around long enough to make the final result look in doubt. A big thank you to the year 9s and 8 that guested for the 10s in their absence.
